Recruitment Transfers Application to Child Welfare Training Academy (CWTA)
TRAINING
Register for Pre-Service Training
Complete 30hrs of Training Classes
LICENSING
Family Licensing Worker Conducts Clinical Assessment
Complete/Pass all Clearances (FBI, Police & Child Protection)
Lead Inspection Performed
Fire Inspection Performed
Obtain a Certificate of Clean Hands
Reference Checks
Submission and Completion of all Paperwork
Home Study Finalized
Requirements
Thinking about becoming a resource parent in Washington DC?
☑️ Be at least 21 years old
☑️ Live in the District of Columbia
☑️ Provide character references
☑️ Be able to support your household financially
☑️ Be in good physical and mental health and free of communicable diseases
☑️ Have no history of child abuse/neglect or criminal activity
☑️ Have enough space in your house or apartment for children to sleep separately from adults and from opposite-sex children over age 5
☑️ Have the time and ability to provide good care, guidance, and support to children or teens
